Our History
In 2008, Neil Pratt, a partner at a national construction firm with half a century of business under its belt, found himself facing a monumental challenge when the Great Recession hit, causing a drastic drop in annual revenue from $1 billion to $400 million virtually overnight. In a moment of urgency, Neil sought the guidance of a strategic planning consultant, initially engaging them for their expertise with several Fortune 500 companies.
Over the next few years, Neil became deeply immersed in the strategic planning process, discovering a profound passion and talent for the craft. By 2013, upon the recommendation of their consultant, Neil assumed leadership of the strategic planning efforts, steering the organization through six years of transformative development and execution of annual strategic plans.
Through this journey, Neil bore witness to the profound impact of clear vision and robust strategy, as the once-lagging 50-year-old company surged ahead to become a top-tier industry leader.
In 2020, Neil sold his stake in the company to establish Pratt Growth Strategies, driven by a fervent desire to prevent other business owners from unwittingly surrendering their hard-earned enterprises due to lack of planning.
Four years into his new venture, Neil finds deep fulfillment in the daily opportunity to assist others, inspired by the poignant moments of gratitude from clients like one who found renewed purpose and hope under Pratt Growth Strategies' guidance, breaking free from the confines of uncertainty to embrace a future filled with meaningful connections and possibilities.
